Timber Frame Design
We can provide fully detailed timber frame design drawings which cover all elements of the kit build from sole plates to roof trusses. We produce detailed layout drawings for each lift of the structure and timber frame walls, floor and roof elements, including any structural steelwork requirements.
Hybrid and SIPS
We have experience in designing hybrid structures which combine a multiple use of engineered timber solutions and can produce closed panel manufacturing information and junction details together with structure setting out plans for hybrid type structures.
Glulam & Oak Feature Design & Structures
We are skilled in designing Glulam / Oak structures and bolted feature timber work for more elaborate structures and can provide broken down individual component drawings with full post / beam connection details and any housing / cutting detailing for any engineered timber work.

About Us
PPK Timber Designs Ltd is a small design business that operates the latest Auto CAD based design software to achieve high-quality and accurate timber frame design and engineering packages for clients across the UK. Alongside our trusted team of engineers, we can tailor into and produce bespoke design packages to suit client’s individual needs and requests. Paul Kemmish (Managing Director) and Bradley Summerell (Director) have 40 and 20 years’ experience in the timber frame industry respectively. As a business, PPK can cover designs from the simplest extensions to the most complicated and largest schemes that are achievable in timber frame. Our software allows us to integrate with already proven design approaches and replicate client-specific drawings and details to ensure smooth workflow for manufacturers and on-site teams alike.
We have recently moved premises into a purpose-built design unit which has set the business up for years to come. This allows us to serve our new customers to the best of our ability and continue serving our long-term customers, some of whom have been using and returning to PPK for their design work for 20 years plus. We aim to ensure a smooth transition from architectural drawings stages through structural design and manufacturing and then onto site for our clients UK wide. Delivering accurate design work, on time and where required, value engineered to suit budgets and expenditure. The next stage for PPK is to invest in more design technology to further improve our design packages and to expand the team to be able to assist more clients across the sector with their timber frame design needs.
